1970 Porsche 911S Sunroof Coupe
Not too long ago I bought a 1969 911S Soft Window Targa painted tangerine orange. I love that car. I wanted another.
Something very original. Something very well-preserved. Something very tangerine.
I found it.
This car was delivered new to Mr. Jerry Cashdollar, in Geneva Switzerland in February, 1970. It was then self-imported by Mr. Cashdollar to the U.S. when he moved to Houston , TX in September 1983 and titled for the first time in the U.S. on March 7, 1984.
On April 7, 1999, after 29 years of ownership, Mr. Cashdollar sold it to Patrick F. Sullivan,an airline pilot in Granbury, TX, who transferred the car to his brother, Terrance A. Sullivan - also an airline pilot - the following year.
On June 2, 2001 the car was sold to John W. Meyer of Granbury, TX. At that time, the car had only 45,159 original miles. Twelve years later, in 2013, I acquired the car which now has just over 93,000 fully documented miles from new.
Of all my cars, this one is probably the most well-documented. I have virtually every service record from new and I have the complete import file from when the car came to the U.S. in 1984. For multiple decades I have hand-written records documenting every time the car was re-fueled including the mileage, date, quantity of gas purchased, and price per gallon.
In addition to the great documentation, this car has equally great options including a sunroof and very rare circa-1970 power windows.
