1973 Fiat 850 Sport Spider
In 1998 I was at a car show in Beverly Hills when I fell in love with a Fiat. A 1973 Fiat Sport Spider finished in black paint over red interior with just over 40k original miles, to be specific. The car just sat there all day. Calling my name. It was rather irritating if I'm being honest. Even worse, she ended up winning the show that day and I had to go home without her. Story of my damn life.

10 years later I had the opportunity to buy that car. So I did.

If you're a Fiat fan (which you're probably not, I understand that, I was only hoping) you know that nearly every Fiat that entered the U.S. eventually turned into a pile of rust. Literally a pile of rust that doesn't even remotely resemble a car any longer. That's kind of a Fiat thing. This car, somehow, avoided that fate and survived in remarkable condition. Other than one re-paint at some point in its life, it's a rust-free survivor and a car most people have never seen before.

Designed by Bertone, this little beauty sports a rear-mounted engine producing, wait for it, an entire 47 hp! Somehow, it still reaches a top speed of over 140 mph (you just have to wait a while for it to get there).
