1987 Porsche 944 Turbo
I'm honestly not sure how I came to own this car. The best I can tell you is that it seemed like a good idea when I bought it.
From time to time, there are posts on some of the Porsche forums about 944's, 951's, and other Porsches in a color called Summer Yellow. It's a seldom seen color and, for some reason, there seems to be some fascination with it. It's a very rare color on these 944 Turbos (not valuable, mind you, just rare).
When I saw this one for sale, I bought it on a lark. I figured that since I had almost every part of this car already - after taking them off my 39k-mile 1986 944 Turbo - I might as well put those nearly-perfect parts to good use and put them on this car.
So, another restoration waiting to happen and taking up space in my shop. I better live to 100 if I plan on getting all these done.
