1974 Porsche 911
I just bought another 911. I'll admit it, even I'm starting to wonder what exactly it is that I'm trying to prove.
This car was posted on one of my favorite Porsche websites, the Early 911S Registry. I wasn't looking for another 74-77 911 but when I saw this car, I knew I had to have it. It didn't hurt that the seller had it significantly under-priced.
This is a very special car. It was featured in the November, 2013 issue of Car and Driver magazine as part of their celebration of 50 years of the 911. The car is equipped with some terrific options including the fabulous, and completely original, Russet tweed/twill interior. But the real kicker? This time-capsule has a documented 30,056 miles since new. That's 30k miles in 40 years. I wish I was in this kind of shape when I was 40.
