1987 Porsche 911 Coupe
I wish I was driving this car right now.

This car came to me from the good guys at Music City Motorsports in Nashville. Just a tip, if you're looking for a nice air-cooled 911, these guys seem to find them regularly and they're very good guys to deal with.

I'd been looking for another 911 ever since I acquired my 1986 Targa. I love the Targa but, with only 15k miles on it, it's hardly something I want to drive every day. So I started looking for a driver. When I saw this car, I knew I'd found what I was looking for.

It's a 2-owner car (both Doctors as it turns out) that had spent it's entire life in the dry climate of Texas. It had just over 70k miles when I got it but looked like it had half that. It came fully documented from new and the car was 100% original. It was a solid 9 (on a 1-10 scale) in every regard. Nearly perfect but not so perfect that I'd be afraid to leave it in a parking lot.

I've done almost nothing to it. Couple little cosmetic items. Replaced the sunroof seal. I did put a Nakamich/Focal/Alpine stereo system in it because I plan on driving this car like crazy. I'll probably add a tail at some point.

With the G50 transmission, the 1987-89 cars may be the best 911's ever built. If you can only own one sports car, this is a very good choice.
