1974 Ford Bronco Ranger
It took me years to find the right Bronco but it was more than worth the wait.

This pretty Bronco came to me from Northern California where it spent its entire life in a climate that helped it avoid any of the rust that loves to kill-off these classic Broncos. An original, uncut survivor with only 74k documented miles, this combination of Bright Lime exterior with Avocado Houndstooth interior is, to say the least, very difficult to find.

When I got her, she was 100% original and untouched. And while I loved the patina the truck had acquired over the decades, I also wanted to drive her comfortably. That meant she was going to spend several months in my shop.

Starting with the engine we bolted on an Edelbrock manifold and carb, ceramic headers, a custom-bent exhaust system, and a mess of new misc. parts literally too long to list. We then addressed the suspension with new shocks, new leaf springs, new coils, and all new bushings and rubber. We also added power steering, 4-wheel power disc brakes and new wheels and tires.

The exterior was left mostly original to preserve the survivor patina but we did refinish the grille, add all new badges, and get our hands on a new set of Ranger decals.

Inside, we replaced everything. New carpet. New headliner. New seats. New dash. New door panels. All new seals. New, new, new. When you sit in the truck it literally feels brand new. The final touch was a new sound system with an Alpine deck, upgraded speakers and an under-seat subwoofer.

Of all my cars, this one might get the most comments when I drive it. It seems everyone loves an old Bronco. I mean, how can you not?
